Natalie Halloway, now Stephany Flores

I am having a tough time hearing the news in regards to the death of another young lady by the same man who got away with it the first time....Joran Van der Sloot.
The senior, Natalee Holloway was never found after her senior class trip to Aruba. Natalee was last seen with Van Der Sloot leaving a club. However, he never got convicted as they did not have enough evidence to go through trial. But this time, Stephany Flores a 21 year old in Lima, Peru is found stabbed to death in the hotel that he was staying at shortly after being seem leaving the club with the same guy. How could these girls be so naive to leave with a man from a club or bar these days? For the last 2 month's I have heard about woman being killed because they have left a club with a man they just met. Why leave with someone you don't know, they can be a rapist, a killer, have a disease.

It is very sad to know that these young ladies have lost their life in this way. I feel and pray for the families that have lost their children in this manner and hope that they are strong enough to cope and move on with their lives.

I am just hoping that this man does not get away with it this time. I hope the courts work all they can to make sure he is punished.

To be a working mom, or stay at home mom?

I recently gave birth to the sweetest baby girl. She is now 13 months, and of course I had the option of returning to work, or staying home. I decided to keep working as it is something I have worked so hard towards by furthering my education. I enjoy my job and specially the people who I work with, my boss is the greatest. I seriously could not ask for a better boss. But, when I think of what I'm missing out on.. it feels overwhelming.
Many mothers decide to be a stay at home moms, and many are full time working moms. Either choice depends solely on the individual.

I am still deciding where I want to be.
I found an article; two mothers who state their challenges, and what they thought was best for them. http://www.momlogic.com/2009/04/stay_at_home_versus_working_mom.php

mommy thoughts

My son is almost 10 and it's been a fun 10 years. Now I am married and have found a lifelong partner that makes me proud and happy.  We just had a sweet and lovely little baby come into our life and I feel so blessed to be a mom to two wonderful children!

I am proud of my family regardless of the issues at times. Raising kids is never an easy thing.
However, I am still proud of my little family. We have each other and I could not ask for anything else.
Little man Elijah keeps it our lives exciting with a little challenge, and baby girl Anjali, just keeps it sweet and simple for now until she gets a little older.

Having a baby after almost 10 years is great. After 10 years of learning, and developing your own life- there is more things to give your child, at the same time less is more. But after all that time, you realize that it was only you that they need. I mean that by you; your time, your love, and your patience is only the necessary. Material?? They can care less at this point. I actually thought that it was the amount of toys that i purchased that helped to raise a good kid. But was I wrong?!? Toys are just supplemental, for sure.

OUR NEW HOUSE

I am counting down for the days.......... Our townhouse is almost done being built. We have approximately 6 more weeks. I'm speechless when i think that that is really not long at all.

So far, we have visited the last 4 weekends in a row. It's really unbelievable to see it star from just a lot of dirt, to an actual structure. Week 1, the foundation was made... it wasn't much but cement and pipes coming from out of the ground. Not very exciting.
Week 2, The entire house was framed, yes all 3 levels. No windows, no details, just wood.
Week 3, Oh now we are getting somewhere... The roof, windows, counters, door openings and even the garage door is installed.
This past week, We met with the wiring company. The guy we dealt with was surprisingly pleasant and very helpful. Wiring? its not as easy as it may seem to wire a house with A/C unit, and the hardest parts are when you are deciding where to install the cable wires. We must say that we got ripped of when we ordered the wiring to begin with. But our guy who was walking through with us to show us where to install, he helped us figure out a way to use those expensive cables in the future... since we have no use for them now.
Other than that, he helped us to figure out where to install our TV's, which is the most important part after all.

So now that there are about 6 more weeks, we are getting really excited.
All I can think of is how to decorate this house!

More to come...  and I'll be posting pics soon so that you can see the transformation.
